Kirkland, WA. (March 2, 2006) – The State of Washington’s
Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) has awarded a sole-source
contract to The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) for modernization of the
State’s Apportionment System. OSPI has opted to contract for the full suite of
TSRI’s fully automated services, including system transformation from a COBOL
to a .Net C# environment and database conversion from OpenVMS RMS Flat Files to
a Microsoft SQL environment.
Randy Doblar, TSRI’s Chief Operating Officer
said, “TSRI has worked diligently to find an opportunity within a state
government to prove that our successes in the federal sector can be equally
enjoyed at the state level. We are very
proud of the fact that our own state, the great State of Washington has decided
to recognize one of its own local companies to demonstrate the extensive cost
and time savings associated with automated legacy system modernization. It will be our goal to duly serve the State
of Washington’s OSPI organization, while simultaneously using this opportunity
to show the value of TSRI’s capabilities to so many other needy states in the
Union.”
