Kirkland, WA. (December 28, 2005) - The Raytheon
Company has awarded a second contract to The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) for
modernization of additional Patriot Missile-related legacy code. This award comes on the heels of TSRI’s
successful demonstration of the JANUSTM toolset’s capability to automatically transform a subset of
that missile’s FORTRAN code into fully object-oriented C++.
Randy Doblar, TSRI’s Chief Operating Officer said, “This
new effort constitutes the fifth such engagement between TSRI and Raytheon for
system modernization. TSRI is proud of
this growing symbiotic relationship between our two organizations, whereby
Raytheon’s need to modernize the military’s systems are fulfilled, while simultaneously
TSRI gains entrée to the myriad of systems and programs under the purview of
Raytheon. Such an arrangement can only
be beneficial for all concerned.” |
