Kirkland, WA. (October 4,
2005) – Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMCO)
has expanded The Software Revolution, Inc.’s (TSRI’s) contract for supporting
modernization of the acoustic signal processing code on-board the Navy’s P-3C
aircraft.
The contract expansion will allow TSRI to apply the automatic
re-factoring capabilities inherent in TSRI’s JANUSTM
toolset to improve the system’s performance and maintainability.
Randy
Doblar, TSRI’s Chief Operating Officer said, “TSRI is pleased that the success we’ve
had thus far in transforming the P-3C’s Ada code to C++, and in providing
related support to this important LMCO project, has given LMCO the confidence
to move forward with TSRI on automatic re-factoring, a process whereby dead
and redundant code is removed from a system without changing the system’s
functionality.”
