Kirkland, WA. (September 29, 2006) – Northrop Grumman IT has
awarded a contract to The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) to support Increment
3 of the modernization process of the Air Force’s Reliability &
Maintainability Information System (REMIS).
Increments 4 through 6 are expected to follow this contract.
REMIS,
a 3.1 million-line Tandem COBOL-based system, was built to enhance the
front-end design of new Air Force weapon systems and to increase the readiness
and sustainability of existing weapon systems by improving the availability,
accuracy and flow of essential maintenance information.
Randy Doblar, TSRI’s Chief Operating Officer said,
“NGIT and TSRI previously worked closely together to successfully modernize the
first increments of REMIS. TSRI looks
forward to supporting NGIT in finishing the modernization of this important Air
Force system.”
