Kirkland, WA. (March 12, 2004) - ITT Industries has awarded
The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) a Sole Source
contract, to support the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) of
the Eglin Air Force Base Radar Facility as part of ITT's System
Engineering and Sustainment Integrator (SENSOR) contract with the
Air Force's Electronic Systems Center.
TSRI will begin this project by documenting the legacy Real-Time
Program (RTP) C and Fortran code of the Radar Open Systems
Architecture (ROSA) system. Follow-on efforts are expected to
encompass transformation of the legacy code into fully object-oriented
C++, followed by re-factoring or re-engineering of the transformed
code to improve code performance and maintainability.
Randy Doblar, TSRI's Chief Operating Officer said,
"TSRI is pleased be working with ITT Industries for the first time,
and looks forward to providing ITT and the Air Force with our unique
services to help modernize the nation's Global Awareness/Warning
System. We anticipate this first step with ITT to be just one of
many as ITT executes its contractual obligations."
