"TSRI Wins Prestigious Northrop Grumman Award"
Bothell, WA. (December 13, 2002) - Northrop Grumman has honored
The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) with its prestigious
"World Class Team Award" for outstanding support as a Northrop Grumman
team member.
TSRI was recognized for its support to Northrop Grumman in the on-going
modernization of the Air Force's Reliability & Maintenance Information
System (REMIS). REMIS, a 3.1 million line-of-code COBOL-based system,
was built to enhance the design of new Air Force weapon systems and to
increase the readiness and sustainability of existing weapon systems by
improving the availability, accuracy and flow of essential maintenance
information.
Through the application of TSRI's highly automated and low-cost legacy system
transformation and re-factoring processes, Northrop Grumman has successfully
completed Increment 1 of the REMIS modernization project. Using TSRI's
services, Increment 1 was completed far more rapidly and accurately, and at
a far lower cost than could have been accomplished using traditional manual
or semi-automated approaches.
Stanley Beckelman, TSRI's Chief Executive Officer said, "TSRI is honored to
receive Northrop Grumman's "World Class Team Award." As a company that
works closely with the system integration community, it is gratifying to be
recognized as a valued team member by a key player like Northrop Grumman
for such an important, and groundbreaking project".
