"Northrop Grumman IT Selects The Software Revolution, Inc. To Support REMIS Modernization"
Bothell, WA. (May 14, 2002) - Northrop Grumman IT has awarded an $802,000 contract to The Software
Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) to support Increment 1 of the modernization process of the
Air Force's Reliability & Maintainability Information System (REMIS). Increment 2 through 6, scheduled
to begin in 2003, are expected to follow this contract.
REMIS, a 3.1 million line COBOL-based system, was built to enhance the front-end design of new Air Force
weapon systems and to increase the readiness and sustainability of existing weapon systems by improving
the availability, accuracy and flow of essential maintenance information.
Randy Doblar, TSRI's Vice President of Sales & Marketing said, "Northrop Grumman IT's selection of TSRI
brings the company's broad range of legacy system modernization strengths - assessment, transformation,
and re-factoring - to bear on a vital Air Force logistics and maintenance system. Our support to Northrop
Grumman IT and the Air Force on this project is yet another clear indication of the importance of TSRI's
technology to the Air Force's modernization efforts and a further validation of the importance of using
a highly automated approach to legacy system modernization as opposed to older manual or semi-manual
