I downloaded the Adobe SVG Viewer for Firefox and installed
it as described, and now SVG's aren't working properly with
Microsoft Internet Explorer. What's going on? Unfortunately
the Firefox compatible SVG
Viewer and Internet Explorer compatible SVG
Viewer are not one and the same. They nonetheless install to
the same spot and thus automatically overwrite one another. For
the time being, we are unsure how to resolve this and would
suggest viewing the documentation with Internet Explorer because
its SVG support is not in the form of "pre-alpha"
software. Avid Firefox fans don't lose heart though! We've heard
that the next generation Firefox, currently in development, is
scheduled to have fully integrated SVG support.
Why is my Linux box having such problems with
viewing Linux kernel documentation? We're not
really sure. We are running Linux Mandrake 10.2 using Mozilla/5.0
(X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2
and it seems to be working fine. Nonetheless, we are doing what we
can to address Linux compatibility issues. Please just bear with
us.
How do you view .PDF files in Linux? Like... the
tutorial... Please just download... and then consequently
use... the GNOME PDF Viewer.
Some of your links aren't working. What? We thought
we'd fixed that!
Why are the download times so long? Sorry... it's the
nature of the beast. The structure of the documentation is such
that hundreds of list elements are being loaded when any
particular index is accessed. Thus, the time to load a particular
index is proportional to the size of the sub-system. For example,
large sub-systems like "drivers" will take more time to
download than small sub-systems like "architectures" or
"cryptology". Once the index for any particular
sub-system has downloaded, we are quite confident that you'll find
navigation within that sub-system to be more than
suitably alacritous.
Can I get a hardcopy of the Linux
documentation? Not quiiite yet. We are currently setting up
a sales structure for customers interested in purchasing a DVD or
CD hardcopy of the documentation. However, if you e-mail us that
you're interested, we'll take your name down and contact you as
soon as we've set up the appropriate support process. More news on
this to come.
Can SVG's be printed? Can I copy SVG's into another
application? Are SVG's actually the cure for both the
common cold and world hunger?!?!? ... or for any
other SVG related questions, we recommend that you check out
Adobe's
SVG Zone. If you can't find what you're looking for, feel free
to contact us and we'll assist you as best we can.
What other kinds of things does TSRI do? Well,
the short answer is that we: "provide automated legacy
computer system modernization services". But if you're
interested in knowing more, we suggest you go to our main site
(www.softwarerevolution.com)
and start snooping around. We've done our best there to answer the
majority of your questions. If you're still feeling a bit lost,
feel free to contact us and we'll do whatever we can to assist
you. If you would like us to document one of your own systems you
can contact our sales
department directly, and they too will be happy to assist you.
I want to contact you. How can I contact
you? Welp, on our main site there's a little button that
says, "Contact Us". Give it a click, and we're hoping
the subsequent information you're supplied with will get you where
you need to go. Otherwise, click "The
Software Revolution is fun!", and you'll be linked there
directly.
